Today I have learnt how to make healthy desicions for eating. My favourite part was learning new things. The hard part was trying to understand what she was trying to say but then I got the teacher. The easy part was writing all the stuff down and remembering it. this my work.

Today I have finished my language feature. My favourite part was looking for the images. The hard part was trying to understand the steps. The easy part there was no easy part.

Inquiry Facts

Today I have learnt how to catch a tuna/eel. When you catch an eel you can never catch them with your hand because they will to slimely.  That's why they made nets and spears.

Last week I was working on prime numbers. My favourite part was trying to understand what my teacher was saying, then I understand her now. The hard part was learning how to find the answers for the question. The easy part was, There was no easy part. MY WORK

EEL’s

Opening Statement

The longfin eel is located in New Zealand. Longfin eels can only stay in the pacific ocean or freshwater. The scientific name for longfin eel is, Anguilla dieffenbachii.

Habitat

It is not unheard of an eel to climb a waterfall of up to 20 metres. Eels are bottom dwellers. They are found in a variety of habitats including streams an rivers. They hide in burrows, tubes, snages, masses of plants, other types of shutters. Eels like to live under rooks, trees (if there are some in the water.)

Breading

Eels love to bread down in the ocean. Eels take years to grow and it could be even decades before an individual. Eels go and bread 5000 kilometre away from the land so there not endangered. When the females reach there destination they lay over 1 million eggs at once.

Diet

Longfin eels have a will to developed sense of smell. Eels eat live food, small longfin eels living amongst the river gravels will feed on insect larvae. Eels also have a very large mouth with a row of small teeth, They are also sharp to. Eels hunt by there sense of smell or they use there sight seeing.

Closing Statement

Longfin eels like to stay close to the surface because they will get eaten by the regular eels if they go in the deep part of the . The have very sharp teeth but they are too small to bite those big eels. Do you think longfin eels should go in the deep?

Last week I was doing a report on paper because when were young like 8 or 9, we will always do it on paper. The hard part was writing down all my facts and putting them in my own words. The easy part was making a google docs and make a report with paragraphs. My favourite part was writing all of it down and finishing my work.

Its a eels life

This week I have been learning about eels. My favourite thing about eels is that you do all the work and finish it. The hard part was tring to find the information for the facts. The easy part was looking for the maori words for the english words. My favourite slide was when we had to look for the maori words for the engish words.
