I don't know if I should do waka ama  because its having fun on the beach. Here are some resons why I want to do it and don't  want to do it.

Voyaging to New Zealand

Dear anyone,
I am voyaging to New Zealnd on a waka, i am very confident and nerves. I just wish that I will make it there very safely because I want my story to carry on to generation after generation. But it is very nerve racking. Hope I get there safely.

Maui becoming a fisherman

Today I have been reading about Maui becoming a fisherman.
I have to to list 3 facts that I have learnt.

• He showed his brothers that he knows how to fish,
• He did a special karakia to make the fish come to the waka,
• He made his own materials.

Midwife

Today we meet this mid wife. If you don't know what a mid wife i'll tell you, a mid wife is where they deliver baby's when your mum is pregnant/Hapu. The easy part was nothing really. the hard thing is that there was no hard because it fun listening.

Visiter Career

Today we meet Willow Prime's sister, Season-Mary Down. right now she is lawyer in Kawakawa Moerewa. The easy part was listening to her and her bestfriend. The hard part was trying to understand what she was saying. My favourite part was thinking of might becoming a lawyer.

Career Visiter

Today the career visitors came and told us about their job. They all worked in the sea or by the sea it was really interesting. My favorite part was one of them telling us that they went by the place where the titanic sunk. The easy part was listening to where they worked and grabbed some fish.  The hard part was trying to understand where they got everything from. This is what we got from them!!

Today I have been learning how to read the time in analog and digital. The easy part was doing the time in AM for 24h, The hard part was doing the time in PM in 24h. Here's an example. If you know how to tell the time in analog and digital tell me what the time is in the photo.

Persuasive writing

On Tuesday we were writing about sport is better then Kapa Haka, here's my writing.
I agree sport is better than Kapa Haka do you? If you do carry on reading please!!

Firstly, I strongly suggest that sports is better than Kapa Haka because you can get fit by running around on the field.

Secondly, I believe that sport is better than Kapa Haka because you can use some strategies for some sport games.

Lastly, I think sport is better that  Kapa Haka therefore you can always have fun even if you're not playing because when your not playing you can play other sports with other things.

Is spot better than Kapa Haka if you think so write another story and post in on your blog so I can see that you agree that Sport is better that Kapa Haka. If you don't write you're own story about why you don't agree.

Today I learnt about homophones. It is kinda easy when you learn it but when you start you wouldn't know what homophones are. I'll give you an example, like they're, there and their.

• Go over there now or else.

Quotation marks

Today I have been learning about quotation arks, they are 66 and 99. Quotation marks are just like dialog it is hard when you first start then you will learn and it will be easy, For example, "Mum said" or "Mum says". Every time a person speaks its a new line. You always have to have a capital letter next to a 66 and 99. My favorite part was learning a knowing what 66&99 is. The easy part skim reading. The hard part was looking for the Quotation marks.

Movie Making

For the last 3 days we have been making a movie about 5 different cultures like Maori, Scottish, Samoa, Australia and Tonga. It was really hard to record because we had to record on our chrome book. It was easy to put it altogether. My favorite part is making one big movie.

EEL’s

Opening Statement

The longfin eel is located in New Zealand. Longfin eels can only stay in the pacific ocean or freshwater. The scientific name for longfin eel is, Anguilla dieffenbachii.

Habitat

It is not unheard of an eel to climb a waterfall of up to 20 metres. Eels are bottom dwellers. They are found in a variety of habitats including streams an rivers. They hide in burrows, tubes, snages, masses of plants, other types of shutters. Eels like to live under rooks, trees (if there are some in the water.)

Breading

Eels love to bread down in the ocean. Eels take years to grow and it could be even decades before an individual. Eels go and bread 5000 kilometre away from the land so there not endangered. When the females reach there destination they lay over 1 million eggs at once.

Diet

Longfin eels have a will to developed sense of smell. Eels eat live food, small longfin eels living amongst the river gravels will feed on insect larvae. Eels also have a very large mouth with a row of small teeth, They are also sharp to. Eels hunt by there sense of smell or they use there sight seeing.

Closing Statement

Longfin eels like to stay close to the surface because they will get eaten by the regular eels if they go in the deep part of the . The have very sharp teeth but they are too small to bite those big eels. Do you think longfin eels should go in the deep?

Its a eels life

This week I have been learning about eels. My favourite thing about eels is that you do all the work and finish it. The hard part was tring to find the information for the facts. The easy part was looking for the maori words for the english words. My favourite slide was when we had to look for the maori words for the engish words.

Square roots

This week I have been learning how to solve square roots for maths. My favourite part was solving out the answer and learning how to do square roots. The thing about square roots is that if you know your area and perimeter it will be easy.
