Christmas card

Today I made a christmas card for the hospital. I wrote the card for the hospital because they help the people feel better. This is my card to them. The easy part is was making the presents. The hard part was gluing all the parts together. Next time I will make a hard one because this one was easy.

On Friday 2/12/16 we were working on a kizoa for our topic. We learnt how to share it, save it and have fun with it. The easy part was draging all the photo's and putting them in order. The hard part was finding all the photo's. My link is right here Kizoa.

Landscape

Last week I have been learning how to build a landscape for my math's and making everything out of shapes. My favourite thing about this was building the mountains with triangles. The easy part was doing the mountains with triangles. The hard part was making everything out of shapes.

Maths

For this week I have been learning who to sort out fractions. I know that dinominater is the bottom number because 'D' means down. The numerator is the top one because that's the only number that changes. The dinominater is the number that never changes it stay's the same.

My neighbourhood footpath

Today I have been learning to measure area and perimeter for maths. I measured the area for the footpath. I measured width and length. The easy part was doing perimeter.

Maths, Reading, Writting

This week we have been learning maths, reading and writing all in one project. We had to learn how to make a tiny house it was cool. We had to get in to a group of 2. The hard part was trying to sellotape it altogether. The easy part was doing all the furnicher.

Saor

For the last 2 days we have been working on this video but it's got know words so we made up the words for the video. The hard part was trying to right it all down. The easy part was watching the video. I hope you like it. Thank you for watching.

Assembly

Last week was our assembly and we were learning to be confident. Our item's were Dancing and Imovie it was fun. The hard part was getting up there and showing our imovie, It was terrafying because I haven't been on stage in along time. Next time I need to be in more item's the next time we have an assembly.

I have been learning how to elaborate and add detail to my piece of my writing and I need to use high level words in my writings. I need to use adjectives and similes because it helps me in my writing.

Race Day

The next day it was the day to go out and shine. I hopped on the plane. We were on our way to Brazil. I arrived at  12am I had a comfy sleep on the plane. When we arrived at the olympics we meet Sonny Bill Williams and Valerie Adams they were kick back. It was my turn. They were cheering me on it was like I was a superstar. I swam 200m for New Zealand it was fantastic because I came second and I won a silver medal I felt lucky. I said in my head yaaaay! Because I won. I took a flight home and showed my mum she said “I’m so proud of you”. Do you want to do it in Tokyo  because it’s coming up in 2020 I think this time you’ll come first.

Matariki Day

On Monday we went Waitangi for Matariki. We had such fun because we played Hakariki and we even went inside to watch a performance of Kapa Haka. We made kites then we played pick up sticks it was funny because everyone kept making all of them move. When we went home we all went back to school     we told everyone about it.

Metaphor

This week we've been working on metaphors. Metaphor is when you say a noun IS another noun.

My family lives in a chocolate box.

My dad is the dark chocolate because he’s love the color black.

My mum is the sweet strawberry that keeps the love in our family.

Thi is treasure map that I've been working on for the past few weeks. Hopefully use find the treasure. You have to have good eye's good luck because your gana need it.

      Instuction
1. Start at Blue lake.
2. You start on the South side of Blue lake, then take East to North  side of Blue lake.
3. Use one thing in the back pack and give it to skaters, then pass through  skaters in the Skate park.
4. Then walk East side to Extreme forest then pay the Man in the purple shop his 
money from your backpack, garb floty on West side Extreme forest, float down Blue stream.
5. Follow through Blue stream behind falls hill and then you will land in the pond.
6. Walk North side and give the grumpy old troll what he loves, then walk over his bridge.
7. Walk on the south side then west side and give swiper his tools or either walk South side, then East side and buy you a water or food from the CanTeen shop, then walk West side to Swipers hill  and give him the tools that he needs in your bag.
8. Then  walk through Rocky road to the Lighting point watch out for the lighting, use the mirror to shine at the lighting to hit back then walk East side  to Rocky road and the treasure is buried on the East side of  Rocky road.
